I had intended to set up my camera on my tripod to take macro shots of my neighbour’s lavender when I spotted the damselfly. Fearful of losing the moment, I abandoned the tripod, tried to keep as steady as possible and burst shot. I’ve been disappointed in the past using my macro lens handheld, but I’m pleased with the clarity of this shot.
